I’m here…

Date July 24, 2008

Hi! Sorry for lack of updates. I don’ t have any connection when we arrived here in my parent’s house. I tried to do dial up but the cable I use won’t match on the mac mini. I think a separate CAT5e patch cable is needed that will work for mac. I checked it with the broadband company and good thing the lineman who installed was able to fix it. Then last Tuesday the internet connection comes back, and I was able to go online then.

Anyway, I have lots of online work to do and I don’t know now where to start. My mojo is out somewhere so I can’t think of good thoughts at the moment. All I want to do is to sleep  … And if you ask the little boy, oh well he’s enjoying his stay here just because he has playmates, his cousins. They’re playing in the inflated pool most of the time. And if I ask him if he wanted to go back home in HK already, he would reply…“not yet Mommy” :) … as far as me, I was able to have some rest. Off from my usual household work, hehe. But well, I miss the husband. Yes, we left him in HK…

Alright then, I have more blabs to tell about our trip last Saturday but I’ll do that later. :) More stuff to do first right now, okies. Ciao!

MIA this weekend

Date July 19, 2008

We’re off for our vacation this weekend. Not sure how soon I’ll be online and that I don’t know how fast my connection will be. ;) … so this is a little note for you just in case you’re wondering where I am and I’m missing in action… okies!

By the way, I’ll be answering tags and comments once I’m settled on my online world…

Ciao! Have a wonderful weekend to all…

The Picture of Peace

Date July 17, 2008

I just read this on my mail today and thought of sharing it here on my blog… such a wonderful reflection…

There once was a King who offered a prize to the artist who
would paint the best picture of peace. Many artists tried.
The King looked at all the pictures, but there were only
two he really liked and he had to choose between them.
One picture was of a calm lake. The lake was a perfect
mirror for peaceful towering mountains were all around it.
Overhead was a blue sky with fluffy white clouds. All who
saw this picture thought that it was a perfect picture
of peace.

The other picture had mountains too. But these were
rugged and bare. Above was an angry sky from which
rain fell, in which lightening played. Down the side of the
mountain tumbled a foaming waterfall. This did not look
peaceful at all.

But when the King looked, he saw behind the waterfall
a tiny bush growing in a crack in the rock.
In the bush a mother bird had built her nest. There, in
the midst of the rush of angry water, sat the mother bird
on her nest… perfect peace.

Which picture do you think won the prize?
The King chose the second picture.
Do you know why?

“Because,” explained the King, “peace does not mean
to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard
work. Peace means to be in the midst of all those things
and still be calm in your heart. That is the real meaning
of peace.

Hope you’re inspired as much as I am… have a wonderful day! ;)

Weekly Round-up (7/7-13)

Weekly round up

Happy Monday morning everyone! ! It’s another week and this time I’ll be joining Yen’s weekly roundup to review what we have for the past week. This serves as my reference as well.. (for scrapping purposes, hehe)

Let me start for the weather. It’s been raining almost everyday last week. But have cloudy day on weekends.

Monday July 7 was the last day of my little boy’s school, his first school year as nursery student. So Tuesday was officially his summer school break. From that day till Thursday, we stayed home only except for one day where we went to Wan Chai and bought some stuff to bring in Manila. I was able to go online, finish some online works, do tasks at home, and sort out clothes to bring for our vacation.

Friday, Migs and I went to Harbour city. He’s asking to play at Jumping gym and so I brought him there but unfortunately the maze ball game that he wanted was closed. We just went to Toys R Us. Afterwards, we stroll around the mall and saw a crowded area at the middle. Oh yes, 3HK shop launched iPhone 3G. Here some photos:

Keeping him busy…

Date July 14, 2008

Last Tuesday started the summer school break of Miguel. So I have a little kiddo here while working some house chores. He often wakes up around 9AM, so I have few hours on pc before he drags me out to play. But if I have to work on pc like for instance finish online task, I have to keep him busy so he won’t disturb me for just a little time, hehe… So what I do? Let him watch TV. The thing that we don’t want him to do but no choice for me… ;)

If it were a repeated show, he would ask for a DVD. (I asked the husband to have an HDMI switches for this so I won’t have a hard time putting back and forth the cable) …. Sometimes he would ask me to watch movies from the mac mini. So it all depends as to what his mood is as long as he’s busy while I’m doing my work.

But you know I’m so guilty of this, as I don’t want him to spend long time watching on TV. That’s why after doing my work, we play or do some art or read books. Going to playground or to the library is also one activity that we do at least once a week…

For next week, since we’ll be in Manila I’m sure he’ll enjoy playing with his cousins. At least there, he has playmates and I think I can have ME time, hehehe….

Monday prompts {1}

Date July 14, 2008

What motivates you to get out of bed every morning?
~ My care and love for my family. And thinking that there’s another day to enjoy life and do things what you want to do.

When was the last time you got really excited about something? (And what was it?)
~ Last week when I learned one of my wish item will come true …iPhone that is! :D

What is the most adventurous thing you have ever done to your hair?
~ I think when I cut it too short… I use to have a long hair since I’m a little girl and that my Daddy would not allowed me to cut it. But a year after I got married, I tried to cut it short (almost like a boy cut). It’s good though but I won’t do it again, hahaha!
